Thanks everyone for the kind words. In the beginning I really was unsure of where I would be going with my website, but I knew it was something that I needed to do, not only for myself but for other people as well. Getting my thoughts out there for people to read really challenges me to consider my beliefs and priorities, which is a great thing.

The beauty of such a list is that it really does get to the core of your being. You find themes in your goals that you might not have noticed by only making a "To do" list or focusing on one specific area of your life. Mine happen to be learning, teaching, improving our world and travel.

Before I made this list I thought I should find a job where I earn lots of money, but after making my list I realized that while money is nice, it isn't everything. I remembered what I wanted out of life and have made some minor changes to my future goals.

Eldon, Iowa is the location of the house in Grant Wood's painting American Gothic, which happens to be one of my favorite paintings. :)

Congrats on hitting 100 articles... that's a huge feat and certainly a milestone I'm looking forward to myself.

I skimmed your list of 100 goals and... wow!

There's cool stuff in there and frankly some head scratchers for me. Visiting the town in, was it Iowa? I'm sure there's a great reason and isn't that be beauty of such a list... it's YOUR list!

This makes me want to make a similar list and layer it into my goal worksheets and tracking tools... I'm a spreadsheet nerd!

Well, with 100 articles and counting it'll take me a while to work through them all... but I really like you're work and motivating message. Keep it up!

Thanks for reaching out and especially thanks for your great content!

Isn't it interesting how writing takes a life of it's own? You plant the seed of thought, and see where it takes you. I'm often surprised how it turns out differently than I expect!
