Hundred Goals’ Blog Carnival #2

I’m on vacation this week and I am going to open up the floor to you.  Share your stories, thoughts and ideas with hundreds of other readers.  Pour your heart out, share your vision!  You need not be a blogger to participate, you only need something to say.  I look forward to reading some great articles!

Here are the details about how you can participate in the Hundred Goals’ Blog Carnival:

1) Post your Story in the Comments Section above.  Include a short introduction about who you are and what you write about on your blog.

2) Post a link to your blog at the end of your comment.

3) Post a link to the Blog Carnival on your blog and promote the Carnival as much, or as little, as you like.  Have a Facebook account?  Share a link with your friends.

It is that simple and with everyone working together, this could be a great chance for you to spread your message and share your blog with the world.  I can’t do this on my own and from here, it is up to you!

Cheers!

  1. Hi, I’m Untypically Jia. I write about my life on my blog. The funny, the frustrating and the sometimes depressing. I’ve been blogging for several years, but this year I finally snapped and began “barefoot blogging”. Meaning that I took of my “wife” shoes, my “friend” shoes, my “family” shoes and got down to the core of me, regardless of whatever anyone else thinks.

I write serious posts about my goals to overcome anxiety, OCD, and infertility.

And then I write posts about the versatility of the word ‘whore’ and how my bread maker is currently plotting my death.

Hi, I am Rex from hackmylife.typepad.com. I write about my journey towards achieving the lifestyle I want. I typically talk about productivity, personal finance, and whatever book I am reading.

Here is one of my more recent posts: A Rebuttal to the Latte Factor The article discusses the benefit of that daily latte that is so commonly harped on by personal finance gurus.

    Thanks,
    Rex

  3. Hey Steven,

Thanks for having me back. Your first carnival was great because it put me in touch with Crystal (Budgeting the Fun Stuff) and Dave (Do you Dave Ramsey?) both of whom have been fantastic about sharing advice, encouragement, allowing me to guest post, and are all-in-all great people! I was shocked at how quickly both of them reached out to lend a hand to a complete stranger.

Anyway, since your last carnival, my blog http://blog.findthebestcarprice.com has matured quite a bit. I’ve posted more articles around my bread and butter (negotiating new cars) and expanded to many other finanical aspects of buying and owning a car. I was even interviewed live on Fox News last week about common car buying mistakes!

You may get a kick out my latest post because it’s a bit off the beaten path. I explore extreme ways to reduce car insurance that include drinking less soda and taking remedial math. No joke!

Anyway Steven, thanks again for hosting and enjoy your vacation!

    Geoff

I found Hundred Goals perhaps two months ago, and I’ve been intrigued by what I’ve read so far. I reckon I could share a little about where and what I write.

I’m the editor and “public face” of an artist collective in Baltimore, Maryland, USA. Typical subjects include board game design, fringe politics/direct action, bicycling, the performing arts, ethics, and city life.

I’m currently gearing up to head a crew of four bicyclists on a 170-mile bike trip over 2.5 days; the goal is to raise funds, gather supplies, and increase awareness for a homeless shelter that helps families during the colder months of the year. Tonight will be the kick-off benefit show at the community center where the shelter is located, and I’m incredibly excited about it!

To bring it back to Hundred Goals…The completion of this bike trip is one of my four major goals this year; I recently posted an entry reviewing the first four months of the year, and progress on each of the four goals.

Congrats and wishing you continued success, Steven! :)

  6. Great Idea Steven, I’m McLovin’ your posts on creating and achieving goals. It is encouraging to read other’s journey.

My blog, FastHabits.com is about turning your goals into habits. One of my newly formed goal-into-habit achievements is waking earlier each morning.

Here is a post I wrote about that: http://www.fasthabits.com/the-habit-of-becoming-an-early-riser/255

    Cheers!

  7. Hi,

Keeping it sweet and short. I’m Boykie and ‘accidentally’ stumbled on personal development blogs on the web. They sparked my interest and prompted me to re-assess my life.

I have started making changes in my life and felt I’d be best placed to achieve my goals by blogging. I’ve started a blog at http://boykiemackay.blogspot.com/. For more information please visit as it also links to my facebook and twitter profiles.

I have only been at it for about a month hence would appreciate any advice from all out there!

Hi Steve! Thanks again for hosting the Blog Carnival! I think that this is a wonderful place for people to not only promote their blogs and articles, but also to promote their thoughts and opinions.

My name is Erin and I have a blog called Lunacy of the Literary Mind. http://lunacyoftheliterarymind.blogspot.com/

I have started blogs before, but never really did anything with them. But this time around, I felt that I had a voice that could be heard if people wanted to listen. My blog originally started out as a place where I could talk about books and reading in general. Soon, it became a place where I could not only share my opinions about one of my favorite things (reading), but also share myself as a person. It’s a place where I have posed questions to readers to really allow them (and myself) to think about some subjects that might not be contemplated or thought about very often.

I think that so many people have a voice in this world, but don’t know how to share it. I’m glad that we can offer places where we can learn about each other and share ourselves in a way that we may have never thought about before.

Hundred Goals is a site/blog that I have fallen in love with because it has taught me so much about who I am, and who I can be. It has taught me that there is nothing that I can’t do if I believe in myself.

  9. Hi again Steve!

Budgeting in the Fun Stuff has boomed since your last carnival! Readership and quadrupled and I’ve met all kinds of great bloggers! Woot for Yakezie!

BTW, thanks for the kind words Car Negotiation Coach. It was great to meet you too.

Since my last post here, I’ve started concentrating on more personal stories (the “fiscal diary” side). I’ve had so much fun reading the commenters views on everything. I also have posted a whole “Diagnosing Your Financial Health” series on Wednesdays that has gone over really well. In general, BFS seems to have caught some people’s interest and we’ve been having a good time.

Hope I have even better news for your third carnival, lol. :-)

    Thanks so much!
